Bounce Bike Share: Saving Tricks

Bounce is a Mysuru-based startup that offers scooter rental service. Recently I’ve started using Bounce Bike Share for short-distance travel within my area in Bangalore. But people use it for long-distance travel also.

Bounce Bike Share Services

1. Keyless Bikes: This allows you to pick up a scooter from anywhere, ride it to your destination and drop it off at any location.

2. Hourly Rentals: You can also rent bikes on hourly basis. But you have to pick from select locations. Depending upon the bike that you choose, your total bill will vary.

3. Bike Taxi: Similar to app based taxi services like Ola and Uber, now you can book a bike with driver.

4. Bounce Cycle: You can rent a cycle too, but I’m yet to see this to be available in my area.

My favorite is Keyless Bikes. It’s very convenient in terms of cost, time and comfort. You don’t need to wait for someone to pick you up. You can take your own route and make short pauses in your trip.

Savings 20% makes it 50% – 75% cheaper than Auto

I can simply ride Bounce at 50% to 75% lesser price than auto. Here, I’m explaining how.

Lower Cost

It charges Rs. 5 / km + Rs. 0.9 / minute. For short-distance (around 2 km) travel, auto charges me Rs. 35 to Rs. 60. Whereas for the same distance, Bounce costs Rs. 17 to Rs. 22 (depending upon traffic). So, Bounce actually costs 40% to 70% cheaper compared to auto rides.

Bounce Cash Wallet Offers 20% Bonus Cash

I always prefer to recharge my Bounce Cash wallet so that I can earn some bonus amount.

Currently they are offering 10% to 20% bonus cash on Wallet recharges. To get the maximum benefit of 20%, I recharge with Rs. 1,000. So, I get Rs. 1,200 added to my a/c which in turn further lowers my actual fare cost.
